"Polk’s America" Program Series

Dr. Gregory Zieren from Austin Peay State University will present the free public program "Paying for War: How to Win (or Lose) a War in 10 Easy Steps" at 7 p.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church adjacent to the Polk Sisters' House.


Dark Horse Dinner

Inspired by a James K. Polk gubernatorial campaign event in 1838, this fundraising dinner for Polk Association members will be held at Antrim in Columbia from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The President James K. Polk Home's annual Bloodys & Biscuits fundraiser will be held on Saturday morning, April 6 from 9:00 to 11:00. We will serve bloody marys and ham biscuits, and offer live music in our gardens.  Non-alcoholic beverages and children’s snacks will also be available.

The admission price at the gate will be $30 per adult (ages 21 and older).  Younger attendees (ages 3-20) will be charged $5. Children who are younger than age 3 will receive free admission.  For additional information, call (931) 388-2354.




The James K. Polk Home and Museum is located at 301 W. 7th Street in downtown Columbia, TN.

Free parking is available in the lot across 7th Street or along High Street on the east side of the main house.
