Homeschool Day- Veteran’s Day

James K. Polk never fought in a war himself, but many conflicts and veterans can connect their history back to his presidency. Learn about important conflicts like the Mexican-American War, the Civil War and even the Revolution through the lens of the Polks. This event will feature guided tours, crafts, battle mapping and more.

Our quarterly homeschool events are designed for all ages, with activity stations throughout the property, and guided tours of the home.

Homeschool Days are designed to be come & go events, with activities ongoing throughout the day. We recommend 1.5-2 hours for you to experience everything. These events are rain or shine, and in the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled.
