The “Family of Influence” walking tour invites you to explore the history of Columbia, Tennessee, through the experiences and scandals of the Polk family. Long before Columbia became known as Muletown, USA, it was a small frontier settlement, guided by the Polk family to established town and then thriving city. 

Guided walking tours are perfect for:

  • Anyone new to Tennessee
  • Tennessee natives who want to explore their community’s history
