Rachel joined the Polk Home in August 2021 after 8 years at the Tennessee State Museum. Rachel is a graduate of MTSU and aside from James K. Polk’s era, she enjoys learning about the World War II era as her grandfather was a WWII veteran. She is looking forward to getting to know Columbia more through the exciting programs the Polk Home has planned.
Molly Bloom, Curator and Educator
Molly joined the Polk Home in November 2024, bringing with her a deep passion for history, storytelling, and community engagement. She holds a Master’s degree in Material Culture and Artifact Studies, where she focused on how everyday objects were used in the past and how they can be brought to life through exhibits and museum spaces.
Molly is especially passionate about working with the community to create opportunities for learning, connection, and enrichment. We’re excited to have her on the team as she helps share the stories of the Polk Home and its collection in new and meaningful ways!
