Tuesday, April 6
Hearth Cooking & Kitchen Garden
Join us April 6th for a hearth cooking demonstration featuring Curator Candice Candeto. Children will also explore the Polk Home kitchen garden, learn about food in the 1800s, and plant their own heritage herbs to take home.
Thursday, April 8
Creating the Kaleidoscope
Join us Thursday April 8th for a colorful history of the kaleidoscope. Learn how the invention of kaleidoscope led to controversy in England, influenced American art, and morphed from a fancy parlor fixture to a cheap child’s toy. Participants will get to create their own kaleidoscope to take home.
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
$15 per child. All ages welcome. Pay upon arrival.
