Call for artists!

The Polk Home is seeking six (6) Middle Tennessee artists to participate in an outdoor, grant-funded exhibit in our garden. 

The exhibit will showcase the work of six local artists in the boxwood gardens beginning in January 2023. Each artist will be reimbursed for materials and compensated for their work. The theme of the art should be “In Dialogue” with history, and the art should be inspired by or in response to historical events or artifacts. 

Artists will need to be creative and inventive with their use of materials for outdoor display. We are seeking diverse perspectives. Anyone interested in consideration for this exhibit should email info@jameskpolk.com for more information.
